Congratulations to RSA's Alan Spruin; a nominee at the 2019 Insurance Business Awards
We are very excited to share that an RSA veteran, Alan Spruin, has been nominated for a 2019 Insurance Business award for Business Development Manager of the Year. Starting in the RSA mailroom almost 30 years ago, Alan has spent time in a variety of roles including a Commercial Auto Underwriter, a Business Development Manager, and now his current role as Director of Sales for Atlantic Canada.
This nomination does not come as a surprise to anyone who knows Alan, who has been nominated previously and actually won Insurance Representative of the year from the local brokers association in this award’s first year of existence. After speaking to Alan’s colleagues, who describe him as ‘old-school’ it’s clear how well-liked he is by those around him, how admired his dedication to the business is and how much he cares about RSA and its reputation in the marketplace. 
Peter Craswell, Director of Global Specialty Lines for the Atlantic Region explained how Alan is diligent with maintaining broker relationships, and has undoubtedly contributed to RSA’s success in the Atlantic region. “Alan’s honesty is one of his strongest attributes and has resulted in strong relationships with brokers as they are confident that he is on their side. Alan’s word is his bond and brokers truly respect that about him.” 
While at RSA, Alan has continuously put the customer first, recognizing the importance of good relationships and making that a foundational part of how he conducts business. He is passionate about ensuring RSA has a solution to offer for brokers and continuously comes up with innovative ways to increase RSA’s wallet-share.
